Terms of service

1. Eligibility and acceptance

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding agreement to use KeelBridge. By creating an account, submitting content, or purchasing a KeelBridge service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.

2. What KeelBridge provides

KeelBridge provides software and administrative services for maritime introductions, passage coordination, shared Passage Briefs, optional Movement Order support, and approved Store listings. KeelBridge is not the employer, vessel operator, insurer, crewing agency, payment escrow, yacht broker, or guarantor of any user, voyage, job, vessel, product, or outcome. Yacht listings hosted here are free: KeelBridge does not charge a listing fee, take a yacht-sale commission, negotiate a yacht price, or hold a buyer deposit. The listing brokerage, not KeelBridge, represents that yacht.

3. Your responsibilities

• Provide accurate, current information and keep your account secure.
• Verify identities, qualifications, references, vessel condition, documents, weather, and route suitability.
• Agree directly on wages, expenses, insurance, authority aboard, cancellation, and emergency plans.
• Use the service lawfully and respectfully; do not harass, deceive, impersonate, scrape, spam, or upload malicious material.
• Do not rely on KeelBridge as a navigation, emergency, legal, medical, or safety-certification service.

4. Passage and profile content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give KeelBridge a non-exclusive license to host, display, format, and moderate that content as needed to operate the service. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit it. KeelBridge may remove content or restrict accounts that create legal, safety, security, or integrity risks.

5. Work, compensation, and Passage Briefs

A listing, match, message, or Passage Brief does not guarantee work, payment, vessel readiness, departure, safe passage, or completion. Unless a separate written KeelBridge service expressly says otherwise, users arrange and pay wages and expenses directly. Passage Brief revisions should be reviewed by the people affected before departure.

6. Movement Order Desk

The Movement Order Desk is an optional administrative service. The price and scope shown when you order or accept an invoice control that engagement. Unless expressly included, captain wages, crew wages, travel, fuel, dockage, repairs, insurance, permits, and other vessel expenses remain separate. Payment for the Desk does not guarantee a captain, departure date, or completed move.

7. Ship's Store

KeelBridge sells approved listing and creative services; Store sellers sell their own products. Product links lead to the seller's site, where the seller controls checkout, taxes, shipping, returns, warranties, and customer support. KeelBridge does not collect buyer payment for those products, hold inventory, fulfill orders, or pay sellers.

Editorial approval, commercial entitlement, and publication are separate. Paying for a listing does not approve a product or guarantee publication. Approved listings can be revised, unpublished, rejected, or allowed to expire under the applicable offer and moderation rules.

8. Fees and refunds

Any fee, duration, renewal rule, and refund term shown at purchase or on an accepted invoice is part of that order. KeelBridge will not activate a charge that was not disclosed and accepted. External sellers set their own product prices and policies. Until section 12 names the contracting company, KeelBridge will not charge for the Movement Order Desk or a Ship's Store ad. A listed price is not itself a charge.

9. External services

Links and integrations may lead to services KeelBridge does not control. Their terms and privacy policies apply there. A link is not an endorsement or guarantee.

10. Disclaimers and limits

KeelBridge is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, KeelBridge disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from another user, a seller, a vessel, a voyage, external content, or events outside KeelBridge's reasonable control. Nothing here limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will receive appropriate notice and a new effective date. Questions can be sent to beau@keelbridge.net.

12. Contracting party

Paid KeelBridge services are not being charged yet. That includes the Movement Order Desk ($399) and a Ship's Store ad ($99). A price shown on a page does not create a charge.

KeelBridge will not create those charges until these terms name an Oklahoma limited liability company as the contracting party, give a contact address for that company, and state that Oklahoma law governs.
